Michael Botur, born 1984 in Christchurch, is the author of eight short story collections; young adult sci-fi dystopian series, Lockdownland; the “White Once Were Warriors” novel, Crimechurch; a poetry collection, Loudmouth; and a children’s book, My Animal Family.
He has won creative writing awards in the US, Australia and New Zealand. In 2020 he pivoted to writing horror feature-film screenplays. Mike settled in Northland in 2015. He prefers hanging with druggies, lowlifes, perverts and weirdos than boring people.
