Stephen Hollins grew up in Auckland’s eastern suburbs. Where, tree huts, horses, and cows played in the fields. On his first day at school he dressed up as Zorro.
He later followed his father to become a Master Builder. But to his father’s disappointment, he dyed his hair blue and ran away with the circus to Melbourne. Where he worked as a clown, singer, actor, writer/director and performance artist. He returned to Auckland in 2000. Teaching physical theatre, improvisation, and established Living Theatre. He has a Diploma of Drama from Auckland University (1986) and has studied theatre at Victoria University. Has trained and taught at several international theatre schools. Stephen discovered poetry while walking the Camino de Santiago trail. He has been writing with a passion ever since.
